This practice is different from most.  We don’t have a huge fancy office with lots of staff.  We have what’s now called a “micropractice” -  like the old-school, small town docs, as well as the centuries of midwives and healers before them.   It’s just a few of us working here, which keeps our overhead wonderfully low.   This translates into more ease and time.   We are able to slow down, have long appointments, and really get to know and care about you.     

This practice is for women of all stages of life.   We offer midwifery care for those who are pregnant, and gynecology / women’s health care for everyone else, including annual exams, contraception, and hormone and thyroid support.

Another big difference is that we offer both mainstream and natural options for treatment.   There is absolutely a time and place for prescription medications, and we can do that.   But we also want to dig in, do some detective work, and figure out the root causes of what’s going on, so that hopefully we can actually fix your issue, and help you heal.   

Gender issues and language can be tricky. I am only licensed to treat people with uteruses, vulvas, vaginas, and such. I sometimes use the term “women’s health” as many people associate “gynecology” with other things. I recognize that not everyone with a uterus and vagina identifies as a woman, and I honor that. If you have or had these parts, you are absolutely welcome here.
